Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Delight Platform, including the mobile app, web app, website, AI Concierge, and all related services. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service.
1. General Principles
You agree to use the Platform in a manner that is:
- Lawful and in compliance with all applicable Nigerian federal and state laws.
- Respectful toward Delight staff, Vendors, and other users.
- Consistent with the intended purpose of the Platform — booking and managing concierge services.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Platform to:
2.1 Fraud & Deception
- Provide false identity information or impersonate another person.
- Use stolen, expired, or unauthorised payment methods.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, bans, or referral program rules.
- Submit fraudulent chargebacks or dispute legitimate transactions.
- Manipulate pricing through false booking parameters.
2.2 Abuse & Harassment
- Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate Delight staff, Vendors, or other users.
- Use abusive, discriminatory, or hateful language in any communication channel (chat, email, phone, or in-person).
- Make threats of violence or engage in intimidation to obtain refunds or concessions.
- Engage in sexual harassment of any kind toward staff or Vendors.
2.3 AI Concierge Misuse
- Attempt to "jailbreak", manipulate, or circumvent the AI Concierge's safety guidelines.
- Use the AI Concierge to generate content unrelated to our Services (e.g., writing essays, generating code, creating marketing copy for other businesses).
- Flood the AI Concierge with excessive or automated messages (rate limits may apply).
- Attempt to extract the AI's system prompts, training data, or internal instructions.
- Submit content to the AI that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
2.4 Illegal Activities
- Use the Platform to plan events that involve illegal activities.
- Launder money through the payment system.
- Solicit or facilitate the sale of illegal substances or goods through our Services.
- Violate intellectual property rights of third parties (e.g., requesting copyrighted designs without license).
2.5 Technical Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, our servers, databases, or infrastructure.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or availability.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Platform without authorisation.
2.6 Spam & Solicitation
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial messages to other users.
- Advertise competing services through our chat, review, or referral systems.
- Abuse the referral programme by creating fake accounts or referrals.
3. Content Guidelines
When uploading content (photos, messages, reviews) to the Platform, you agree that your content will not:
- Contain sexually explicit or pornographic material.
- Contain graphic violence or gore.
- Promote hate speech, discrimination, or extremism.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of third parties.
- Contain personal data of third parties without their consent.
- Be false, misleading, or defamatory.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without notice.
4. Review Guidelines
When leaving reviews of our Services:
- Reviews must reflect your genuine experience with the Service.
- Do not submit reviews for Services you did not receive.
- Do not offer or accept payment or incentives for reviews (our standard loyalty points programme is excluded).
- Do not include personal information (phone numbers, addresses) of staff or Vendors in reviews.
- Constructive criticism is welcome; personal attacks are not.
5. Vendor Interactions
When interacting with Vendors assigned to your Booking:
- All communication should go through Delight's Platform or official channels.
- Do not solicit Vendors to perform services outside the Delight Platform to circumvent our fees.
- Treat Vendors with professional courtesy and respect.
- Follow any reasonable instructions from Vendors regarding event setup, food safety, or venue rules.
6. Rate Limits & Fair Use
To ensure fair access for all users:
- AI Concierge messages are limited to 20 messages per day for free-tier users.
- API access (if applicable) is rate-limited to prevent abuse.
- Excessive use of any feature that impacts other users' experience may result in temporary throttling.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning: A notice of the violation and request to cease the behaviour.
- Feature restriction: Temporary loss of access to specific features (e.g., AI chat, review posting).
- Account suspension: Temporary suspension of your account pending investigation.
- Account termination: Permanent ban from the Platform.
- Legal action: Referral to law enforcement or initiation of legal proceedings for serious violations (fraud, threats, illegal activity).
We will exercise enforcement proportionately and, except in cases of severe or illegal conduct, will provide notice before taking action. You may appeal enforcement decisions by contacting legal@delightapp.ng.

If you believe another user, Vendor, or any party is violating this AUP, please report it to:

- In-app: Use the "Report" feature in the chat or profile sections.
All reports are treated confidentially. We do not retaliate against users who report violations in good faith.
9. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
