Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels.

2. How We Use Cookies & Local Storage

The Delight Platform uses cookies and browser local storage for the following purposes:

2.1 Strictly Necessary (Always Active)

These are essential for the Platform to function. You cannot opt out of these.

  • delight_access_token (Local Storage) — Stores your authentication token so you remain logged in. Expires when you log out or the token expires (15 minutes, auto-refreshed).
  • delight_refresh_token (Local Storage) — Stores your refresh token for seamless re-authentication. Expires after 30 days or on logout.
  • delight-auth (Local Storage) — Persists basic account state (name, authentication status) for faster app loading. Cleared on logout.
  • delight-ui (Local Storage) — Stores UI preferences (onboarding completion state). No personal data.

2.2 Functional

These improve your experience but are not strictly necessary.

  • Session storage: delight_banner_dismissed — Remembers if you dismissed the app download banner during your current session.
  • Chat session data — Maintains your AI Concierge conversation context during a session.

2.3 Analytics (With Consent)

If enabled, these help us understand how people use the Platform so we can improve it.

  • Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring. Collects anonymised error reports, page load times, and device information. No personal identifiers.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested.

3. Third-Party Cookies

When you interact with third-party services through our Platform, those services may set their own cookies:

  • Google Fonts: Serves web fonts used on our website. Google may collect limited technical data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Payment processors (NexaPay, BTCPay): When you are redirected to a payment page, the processor may set cookies to complete your transaction securely.
  • Unsplash: Service images on the marketing site are loaded from Unsplash CDN, which may set performance cookies.

4. How to Manage Cookies

4.1 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once.
  • Block third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies.
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set.

Instructions for popular browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions

4.2 Impact of Disabling Cookies

If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies/local storage, the Platform may not function correctly. Specifically:

  • You will be logged out on every page refresh.
  • The onboarding screen may appear repeatedly.
  • AI chat context may not persist within a session.

4.3 Mobile App

The Delight mobile app (iOS/Android) uses device-level secure storage rather than browser cookies. Data stored locally on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We currently respect DNT signals by disabling any optional analytics tracking when DNT is detected.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
